Boca Raton, Florida – The hospitality & tourism management program at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) has moved into the Top 30 Best Hospitality Schools. It is the youngest program to do so.
According to Dr. Peter Ricci, Director, it's due to three key factors: 1) an incredibly unique location surrounded by every segment of the industry from cruise lines to casinos and private country clubs to world class resorts, 2) a world class faculty who have the distinct blend of years of industry experience combined with excellent graduate pedgrees, and 3) an employer base that has warmly welcomed the alumni and consistently recruits. Indeed within 50 miles of campus one can find over 100 hotels and resorts, 5 casinos, 90 private country clubs, hundreds of restaurants, car rental agencies, and several cruise line headquarters and OTA regional offices.
Employers throughout the area claim the program's rigor and focus on a blend of business knowledge with hospitality/tourism skills is what separates it from the rest.
The program offers a bachelor of business administration (BBA) with a major in Hospitality & Tourism Management as well as an MBA in Hospitality & Tourism Management.
