BEND, Ore. – Sept. 23, 2016 – Riverhouse on the Deschutes, one of Bend’s most iconic hotels, is ushering in a new era following its grand reopening this past spring and is strengthening its leadership team with the addition of Sarah Romish as marketing manager.
Romish has more than 20 years of experience in the outdoor recreation and hospitality industries. Most recently, she was with the Bend Park and Recreation District, where she served as assistant manager and marketing coordinator at a large community recreation facility. A Bend resident for more than 17 years, she has a diverse and varied background in marketing and project management, with experience in digital communications, print media, public relations, and branding and positioning. Her prior work includes positions at Nike, Sun Valley Company, REI, Sunriver Resort and Visit Bend.
“Sarah’s unique skillset and extensive expertise in hospitality and recreation are a stellar combination for the Riverhouse on the Deschutes,” said general manager Vernon Heitzenrader. “She has a deep appreciation not only for our natural surroundings, but for how they influence and enhance the guest experience in our thoughtfully rejuvenated space. We’re excited to welcome her to the team.”
Romish will manage all marketing and communications for the 221-room full-service hotel, convention center and Riverhouse’s newest restaurant, Currents.
