BUFFALO, N.Y., and ESTES PARK, Colo. (Nov. 22, 2016) – Delaware North, one of the largest privately held global hospitality and food service companies in the world, has expanded its portfolio of lodging and retail locations by acquiring the Rocky Mountain Park Inn and Trendz at the Park in Estes Park, Colo.
Both properties are located only a few miles from the Beaver Meadows Entrance Station, the eastern entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.
Delaware North plans a significant investment of resources to make capital improvements on both the hotel and store to provide elevated experiences for their guests and patrons. The effort will result in closing the hotel until May 2017.
The Rocky Mountain Park Inn is a full-service hotel offering 150 guest rooms, a 20,000-square-foot conference center, onsite restaurant, indoor heated swimming pool and fitness center. Trendz at the Park is a nearly 5,000-square-foot retail store located at the intersection of E. Elkhorn Avenue and Moraine Avenue, Estes Park’s “Main and Main” location in the heart of downtown. The store currently offers high-end home goods and gift items.
“Delaware North has a long history of creating special experiences in high-profile places, and these two properties in Estes Park, Colorado, in the Rocky Mountain National Park community are an outstanding addition to our portfolio,” said Jim Houser, group president of Delaware North’s parks and resorts business, as well as Delaware North Sportservice and Delaware North’s Patina Restaurant Group. “We are excited to bring our experience and expertise to help them become the area’s premier lodging and retail destinations.”
In addition, Delaware North will integrate its core business systems and processes, such as its highly regarded customer service program, GuestPath®, and its environmental management program, GreenPath®, into both operations.
