Splendid Hospitality Group has appointed Lynsay Findlay as General Manager of Hotel Indigo Edinburgh.
Lynsay is a long-standing member of the Splendid family, having worked at the group’s Holiday Inn Express Glenrothes for the past 15 years. Combine this with her HNC in Travel & Tourism from Fife College and Lynsay is bringing a wealth of experience to the role.
Born and bred in Scotland, Lynsay’s role will be to manage the day to day running and operations for the 60-bedroom boutique Hotel Indigo Edinburgh at 51 – 59 York Place.
Sharon Stuart, Cluster Sales Manager at Splendid Hospitality Group says: “Having lived and breathed Splendid Hospitality for over a decade, Lynsay is a real asset to the team. Her enthusiasm and passion for the brand is evident and she is a great fit for Hotel Indigo Edinburgh.”
Lynsay comments: “The Holiday Inn Express Glenrothes was a home from home for me and the team were like family, but I’m ready to get stuck in to a new challenge. Hotel Indigo Edinburgh is undergoing some exciting new changes and I’m thrilled to be a part of them.”
In 2016, while Lynsay was GM at Holiday Inn Express Glenrothes, the hotel reached number 1 in the UK on ‘HeartBeat’ for 2 consecutive months. The IHG ‘HeartBeat Survey’ measures guest ‘love’ surveying all 137 Holiday Inn Express hotels in the UK.
Holiday Inn Express Glenrothes also won a Silver Award for HeartBeat and a Gold Award for problem handling from IHG.
