FRANKFURT, Germany, March 23, 2017 –Gastronomic innovation and the creation of top-quality, yet unpretentious dining experiences are themes that fuel the passion of pentahotels' new Executive Chef, John King.
The neighbourhood lifestyle hotel brand aspires to challenge conventions in the world of hospitality. One of the biggest challenges for its new Executive Chef will be to create a globally adaptable dining concept that fits the brand philosophy. While comfort food and regional classics are the mainstays of this strategy, the master chef also has to be the guardian of quality and authenticity.
pentahotels has found the right man for the job in John King, a long-standing member of the company. A Brit who has been conjuring up his magic in pentahotel kitchens since 2009, he arrived with an exceptional, international background in the high-end culinary world, including Burj Al Arab in Dubai, The Little Nell Hotel in Aspen, Colorado, The Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland, The Savoy in London, and Four Seasons Hotel at Park Lane in London.
John King is renowned for developing highly-acclaimed dining concepts and recipes – sprinkled with the distinctive penta-style. In his role as the head of penta-kitchens, John King is also responsible for establishing supplier networks, defining training standards and keeping a keen eye on ongoing quality control.
pentahotels' Managing Director, Alastair Thomann, holds John King in high regard, commenting: "John's work has been excellent over the last eight years and has made a major impact on the kitchens in all of our locations. I am convinced that John will fill the position as our first Executive Chef perfectly, and continue to delight our guests with his special line in good, honest comfort food."
