CHICAGO, IL (March 2017) – The quintessential hub for visitors to unwind after their downtown explorations, the Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park, 200 North Columbus Drive, announces the appointment of General Manager Kirsten Guill, 36. In this role, Guill will use her managerial and leadership experience to helm the Fairmont Chicago team of over 400 tenured hospitality professionals.
Guill brings to Fairmont Chicago, Millennium Park notable experience, serving as general manager of the W Chicago City Center Hotel for 3 years, and W Lakeshore for half a year during an extensive property renovation. Previously, she served as hotel manager of the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco, California, where she oversaw all operations for the 1200 room property. Her career in hospitality began with Starwood Hotels and Resorts as the Director of Operations, North America Division, in 2007 after working as an associate consultant for Bain & Company.

She has received numerous distinctions for her performance, including being named as the 2015 Chicago Hotelier of the Year, as well as the 9th Annual Hero Award and 2012 “Rising Star” distinction, recognizing her contributions at Westin St. Francis.
Well-educated on top of her exceptional hotelier credentials, Guill received her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College and obtained a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Married to Dan Guill, COO of Enlivant, she is also the mother of two, Erik 2 and Oskar 3 months, and a resident of Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood.
