March 12, 2018 – (Tucson, AZ) – Mark Stebbings and Robert M. Berrey, Jr. have been appointed as general managers of Miraval Arizona and Miraval Austin, respectively. In these roles, Stebbings and Berrey will use their astute leadership skills and health and wellness expertise to build on Miraval’s longstanding reputation as a thought-leader in the industry.

Mark Stebbings, Miraval Arizona With more than 18 years of experience in the hospitality and wellness industries, Mark Stebbings joins Miraval Arizona as the general manager. Stebbings uses his expertise to oversee the brand’s flagship wellness resort in Tucson, Arizona. Before joining Miraval Arizona, Stebbings served as director of operations and general manager of Travaasa Experiential Resorts where he oversaw all aspects of the brand’s two properties, Travaasa Austin and Travaasa Hana.
Prior to working at Travaasa Experiential Resorts, Stebbings served as the general manager of Hotel Hana-Maui. There he was responsible for all aspects of the resort’s operations including staff management, guest satisfaction, financial performance and marketing. Stebbings earned his degree in Hotel Catering & Institutional Management from Bournemouth University in Dorset, England.
Robert M. Berrey, Jr., Miraval Austin Robert M. Berrey Jr. brings over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry to his role as general manager of Miraval Austin. As the general manager, Berrey will oversee the renovation and much-anticipated opening of the first Miraval spa resort to open outside of the brand’s flagship, scheduled to open in 2018.
Before joining Miraval Austin, Berrey served as the general manager of The Gideon Putnam Resort & Spa. There he managed all phases of the property’s renovation including rebranding, design, engineering and planning. Throughout his career, Berrey has held senior level positions most recently as the general manager of Skyland Resort in Shenandoah National Park, vice president of operations of Balsam Mountain Preserve in Balsam, North Carolina and director of operations and hospitality of River Rock in Cashiers, North Carolina. Berrey studied Hospitality Management at Florida International University in Miami, FL.
