(April 18, 2018) – This summer, guests and meeting planners at the Atlanta Marriott Perimeter Center will discover a wide range of updated amenities and enhanced meeting spaces, as the landmark hotel completes its nine-month, multimillion-dollar renovation. In addition to the hotel’s 18,000 square feet of meeting space, the renovation encompasses numerous exterior cosmetic changes and major improvements to all 344 guestrooms.

Meeting planners and attendees will appreciate the many new features and fresh new design of the property’s 18,000 square feet of flexible indoor meeting space, which will give each room its own individual style with special nods to the Perimeter Center. The property’s largest space, The Grand Ballroom, will be completely overhauled with textured walls, expansive 18- foot ceilings, unique lighting accents, and custom millwork evoking the ample tree cover of the area. The Junior King and Queen Ballroom will feature an abundance of natural lighting with floor-to-ceiling windows, new champagne and turquoise-accented carpeting, and modern lighting. For pre-function activities, The Grand Ballroom will offer 6,300 square feet and 2,400 square feet of additional space for the Junior Ballroom, all of which have newly designed pre-function space. All spaces have been enhanced with new lighting, carpet, wall treatments and fresh paint.
The renovated hotel will also have an updated boardroom, three private meeting rooms, the intimate Augusta Room, and an outdoor pavilion with 3,000 square feet of space. Each meeting room is aptly named after a nearby road or structure leading to the property. New drapery, carpet and millwork will enrich the boardroom and private meeting spaces for more intimate meetings and break-out sessions.
In addition to a complete renovation of the hotel exterior, the property will add other cosmetic improvements for an upgraded guest experience, such as fresh landscaping; a grand porte-cochère; an all-new lobby with custom millwork, flooring , indoor fireplace and check-in pods; a newly renovated Outdoor Terrace, featuring more than 1,500 square feet of al fresco dining with lounge chairs, an accent fireplace and Edison lighting for evening functions; and a completely reimagined Greatroom serving up Southern favorites with a modern twist in a relaxed setting from the Twisted Oak Restaurant.
Guests will also enjoy updates to the hotel’s 344-rooms, with new paint and laminate flooring; upgraded guest baths with sliding barn doors and showers with modern tile, redesigned showerheads and glass doors; and state-of-the-art security upgrades, including tap locks for easy room entry. All balcony rooms have been converted to add floor-to-ceiling windows for nearly three feet of additional space.
