AccorHotels North & Central America has announced the appointment of Ian Ricci as Vice President of Development, Canada & Caribbean. In his new role, he is responsible for overseeing the corporate development strategy for AccorHotels’ expanding portfolio in Canada and the Caribbean.
“We are excited to welcome Ian, as his extensive financial background and hospitality industry experience will be complementary to the team and positively contribute to amplifying the Group’s presence in North & Central America,” said Greg Doman, Senior Vice President, Development North & Central America, Luxury Hotels Americas & Residential. “We are certain that he will be instrumental in identifying opportunities and building successful relationships with new and existing hotel owners and partners in Canada and the Caribbean.”
Ian brings close to two decades of hospitality industry experience with a focus on the financial sector to his new role. He joined AccorHotels from CWB Franchise Finance, a division of Canadian Western Bank, where he was an Account Manager. He held the same position at GE Capital, where he worked for nearly a decade, starting as a Structuring Manager in late 2006. Ian also spent time at HVS International, where he worked on market and hotel feasibility studies, and hotel valuations on a broad range of asset types – from budget hotels to five-star resorts – across Canada and the United States.
Ian began his career as a management trainee at Hilton International, which saw him rotating through all management functions at Hilton Quebec City and The Drake Chicago.
Ian earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of Guelph in Ontario.
