NEW YORK (May 31, 2018) – The Ritz-Carlton New York, Westchester is pleased to announce Greg Mendoza as the hotel’s new General Manager. Most recently, he served as the General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park where he managed day-to-day operations of the AAA Five-Diamond Hotel. In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing all operations of the 146-room luxury hotel including an award-winning spa, rooftop pool, state-of-the-art fitness center, the comfortably elegant Lobby Lounge as well as 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

Born and raised in Colombia, Mendoza is a graduate of S.E.N.A. hotel management school. With over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Mendoza has diverse experience in luxury hotel operations, food and beverage management as well as financial expertise. He began his hospitality career in New York City at the Vista International Hotel as the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage. From there, he went on to Hawaii where he worked in luxury hotels including Kahala Hilton Hotel and Kahala Mandarin Oriental in Honolulu. Mendoza also spent 10 years with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts holding management positions with the company’s AAA Five-Diamond hotels in Dallas, Punta Mita, Mexico and Miami. Mendoza then served as the Vice President of Development and Operations at Millennium Partners, a premier luxury development company, before joining The Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park. In this role, he was responsible for the asset management of the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami, The Ritz-Carlton, Washington D.C, and The Ritz-Carlton, Georgetown.
Mendoza currently lives in Manhattan with his wife Melanie and their 22-year-old son Trevor.
