(Middletown, PA) – On Tuesday, June 5, 2018, Restin Hospitality held a ribbon cutting event to celebrate the opening of the new 87-room Comfort Inn & Suites hotel in Middletown, Pennsylvania.
The new Comfort Inn & Suites, located within 3 minutes of the Harrisburg Airport, features 4-stories, 87 rooms, 31 king suites, a saltwater indoor pool, meeting facilities, complimentary breakfast, fitness room, business center and airport shuttle. The Comfort Inn & Suites-Harrisburg Airport Hershey South is owned by Restin Hospitality and managed by Prestige Hospitality Group of Albany, New York. The hotel welcomed its first guests on May 4, 2018.
At the ribbon cutting event, Mike Pries, Commissioner for Community and Economic Development noted the significant benefit the new hotel brings Dauphin County.
"Located along the growing Route 230 corridor, close to Penn State's capital campus and the airport, this new hotel serves a critical need as more visitors come to the area," said Pries. "It's major investments like this that are creating jobs and growing our economy. As we welcome Comfort Inn to Dauphin County, we also thank the many people, including the Nardo family, who made this day possible."
With Park & Fly rates and meeting packages, the Comfort Inn & Suites fills a recognized need for overnight lodging close to Harrisburg International Airport. The new hotel is also expected to support Penn State University – Harrisburg Campus, the 193rd Special Operations Wing, as well as surrounding community attractions.
David Black, President of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & Capital Region Economic Development Corporation spoke at the event.

The hotel owners were joined by project professionals, local business leaders and hotel management in touring the new hotel and celebrating its grand opening. Jody Flynn, District Constituent Outreach Specialist, spoke at the event on behalf of State Representative Thomas Mehaffie.
Megan Brumagim, Senior Director of Signature Brands for Choice Hotels, attended the event to help cut the ribbon on the new Comfort Inn & Suites-Harrisburg Airport Hershey South.

Jim Frenis, Chief Executive Office of Prestige Hospitality Group (PHG) served as the master of ceremony for the event and introduced the new hotel management staff. Sarah McConnell will lead the hotel as General Manager and Justin Bacon is the Director of Sales and Marketing for the hotel. PHG brings its extensive experience in hotel operations, sales and marketing to the new Comfort Inn & Suites.
