Leesburg, Virginia, September 2018 …The National of historic Loudoun County has partnered with the wickedly fun and haunted, Shocktober featuring a 19th Century Victorian Gothic Mansion, to create a Trail of Terror weekend destination experience this October. The National’s weekend leisure package, called “Halls of Horror“, includes guest accommodations, full breakfast buffet, free parking and transportation to Shocktober’s Haunted Gothic Mansion experience, which will benefit the nonprofit, The Arc of Loudoun, an organization dedicated to serving children with disabilities and their families.
The National’s “Halls of Horror” haunted weekend package rates are from $109 for a standard guest room and from $159 for a suite. The package also includes a “Trick or Treat” candy bag and gift card to the Black Olive Bar & Grill at The National. Shocktober’s Haunted Mansion experience is just 15 minutes away.
For the Hall of Horror October weekends, the Black Olive Bar & Grill will be transformed into a Haunted Hotel pop-up bar with themed cocktails such as the Vampire’s Kiss Martini and the Zombie as well as Witches Brews from local Solace Brewing Company. Proceeds from the Halls of Horror Weekend Package as well as 10% of the spirits sales from the Black Olive will be donated to The Arc of Loudoun. The Hall of Horror can be booked online here.
The Arc of Loudoun’s Shocktober partnered with Visit Loudoun to create the Trail of Terror, a guide to Loudoun County restaurants, wineries, breweries, places to stay and special experiences (with a haunted twist) during the month of October. The more partners visited on the Trail of Terror, the more prizes that can be won! Trail of Terror guide can be downloaded here.
