Concord Hospitality to Build $32M 224-room Marriott Renaissance Hotel in Westerville, Ohio

Dec. 04--A Marriot Renaissance hotel and conference center will be built in Westerville, according to city officials. The $32 million project will be located between Cleveland Avenue and Africa Road just south of Polaris Parkway in Westar Place, which was formerly known as the Altair Business Park. The eight-story hotel will have 224 rooms and a restaurant as well as 20,000 square feet of meeting space. Westerville purchased the 62-acre Altair site for $16.2 million earlier this year. Westar Place is part of the 941-acre Westar Business District of Westerville. There are already several businesses located in the Westar Business District

Tilman Fertitta, the billionaire restaurateur, amusement park operator and gambling mogul based in Houston, said many patrons began making reservations to stay at the casino hotel before the opening day had been set. Dec. 04--A plan to transform the Lincoln Mill into a $50 million hotel and apartment complex on Wednesday received conditional approval from the Biddeford Planning Board. Kennebunkport developer Tim Harrington received approval for 96 apartments, an 81-room hotel, 150-seat restaurant and 65-seat restaurant in the former textile mill in the city's downtown, said City Planner Greg Tansley.
