Jan. 15--The construction of a Marriott extended-stay hotel on Marks Church Road is pegged to begin next month, according to project developers. Jan. 15--The Twin Cities will get an InterContinental Hotel this summer when the Mille Lacs Band rebrands the Crowne Plaza Riverfront Hotel in downtown St. Paul with the stamp of the international luxury hotel. Jan. 15--Kiawah Partners has placed its high-end golf resort in Ireland into receivership to restructure the money-losing property's debt and line up a buyer. Jan. 15--The downtown Columbus Marriott hotel is for sale and a contract is pending, but the deal has not been completed, Pezold Management Associates executive Tracy Sayers confirmed Wednesday morning. The 177-room full-service hotel has been owned by Four J S Family, a Pezold Management holding company, for more than 10 years. Sayers would not disclose the potential purchaser. "The projected closing is based on the Marriott Corp., but it should be within the next 30 days," Sayers said.
