BETHESDA, Md., Nov. 21, 2013 --- Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. (NYSE: HST) announced today that the Company sold the 244-room Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta and the associated office space for $62 million. The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes. "We are excited to announce this transaction. This sale continues to reduce our market presence in our non-target markets and brings our total dispositions since the beginning of last year to over $750 million," said Struan B. Nov. 21--An Atlantic City casino industry stifled by lower gambling revenues and a plummeting tax base of casino properties led Moody's Investor Service to downgrade the resort's debt rating this week. The downgrade of $219 million of outstanding debt obligation and city-guaranteed bonds to Baa2 from Baa1 could make it more difficult and expensive for Atlantic City to borrow money in the future. Nov. 21--A new labor contract landed on the Strip late Wednesday when two prominent Las Vegas unions voted to accept the terms of a fresh five-year contract with MGM Resorts International. More than 4,000 members from the Culinary Union and Bartenders Local 165 cast ballots, and 97 percent voted in favor of the deal.
