Nov. 20--PFLUGERVILLE -- Three new hotels are expected to follow the Hawaiian Falls water park to Pflugerville -- and one, a $17 million Marriott Courtyard with a restaurant and meeting space, may open its doors by Christmas 2014, a development official said. The total cost of the other two hotels, a Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites and a Best Western Plus, will be several million dollars each, said Floyd Akers, executive director of the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation. Nov. 20--Construction crews have dug a 12-foot-deep hole across an entire city block south of the Spokane Convention Center, laying the foundation and footings for what will be Spokane's largest hotel. The 15-floor, 720-room hotel project is estimated to cost roughly $50 million. Building the hotel is the Davenport Hotel Collection, the Spokane company owned by Karen and Walt Worthy. Nov. 20--Pronghorn is leading central Oregon into its latest boom in lodging development, with plans for a new 105-room luxury lodge, a spa expansion and new space for weddings in a $20 million expansion announced Wednesday. Formerly Pronghorn Club and Resort, the golf resort development is located in the high desert of central Oregon 14 miles northeast of Bend. It now is called Pronghorn, An Auberge Resort. A hospitality management company, Auberge Resorts also manages boutique lodging in California's Napa Valley, Colorado ski country and in tropical settings. Pronghorn opened in 2006 as an ultraluxurious, private, gated golf community
