Tracking the Recovery: How COVID-19 Is Reshaping the Hotel Revenue Mix

HotStats | August 24, 2020

Yes, there are typically other things that hotels offer within their walls—food, drinks, events, ibuprofen in the sundries store—but when a customer opens up their laptop or calls the property directly, chances are they are thinking to themselves: I am booking a hotel room. It makes sense then that the sale of guestrooms is the single biggest piece of revenue for a hotel. Hospitality Financial Leadership: What Everyone Needs to Know About Hotel Financial Skills 1-10

David Lund | August 24, 2020

These Times, More Than Ever, Call for Heartfelt Hospitality

Doug Kennedy | August 20, 2020

By Doug Kennedy Based on what I hear, working in the lodging industry during the current COVID-19 pandemic can be especially stressful. Not that it has ever been an easy profession. Admittedly though, the current pandemic has created unique stressors for those on both sides of the guest / employee relationship. Hospitality workers may be finding themselves short staffed and/or working outside of their usual job descriptions. Our frontline associates are having to explain why there are no m...
