Marriott International Inc. (NASDAQ: MAR) today welcomes a new member to its fast growing portfolio in China with the opening of the 259-room Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Fengxian. Under a long-term management agreement with the New Development Group Co., LTD, the hotel is poised to attract business travelers by offering a refreshing ambience that helps guests stay connected, productive and balanced while traveling.
Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Fengxian is located in Fengxian of southern Shanghai which is a developing commercial, industrial and tourism district. It is a beautiful coastal area with 13.7 kilometers of river shoreline and 31.6 kilometers of coast. Bihai Sands Waterpark is the most famous tourist destination in Fengxian and a popular summer resort of Shanghai.
The hotel is just 42 kilometers away from the downtown. It only takes a 45 minutes drive from the hotel to the Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, Hongqiao Transportation Hub and Shanghai Pudong International Airport. It is a rebranded property that has been operating in the local market since 2001.

The 259 guest rooms of the hotel are spacious ranging from 36 to 150 square meters. The stylishly designed rooms feature a functional work area and high-speed internet access, helping guests stay both connected and comfortable. Other amenities include HD TV with satellite TV channels, safe deposit box, mini-bar and the hotel’s bespoke “Golden Pillow Service” – Offering guests with the choices of seven types of pillow to ensure them a sweet sleep.
Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Fengxian offers both Chinese and International cuisine. Pavilion, an all-day dining restaurant features an international buffet; The Lounge, the hotel’s lobby lounge, is an ideal place for guests to have drinks and unwinding.
