[Plano, TX] (October 26, 2020) – Aimbridge Hospitality, the leading, global, third-party hotel management company, has promoted Simon Mendy and Ben Perelmuter to Executive Vice Presidents of Operations, where they will report directly to Global President Mike Deitemeyer. The two are vertical experts in two of Aimbridge Hospitality’s largest and fastest-growing segments, with Mendy the authority on the Extended Stay sector and Perelmuter deeply knowledgeable in the Select Service product category.
Simon Mendy joined Aimbridge Hospitality in 2018 as Senior Vice President of Operations, bringing with him 20 years of hospitality management experience. Prior to Aimbridge, he was Executive Vice President of Operations of Extended Stay America. During that time, he also served as Senior Vice President, Vice President of Training, Standards, Guest Relations, and regional positions in operations and revenue management. Additionally, Mendy was an Adjunct Professor at the Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Ben’s Aimbridge career began as General Manager of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Westshore in 2007. He then progressed to a corporate Regional Director of Operations, Vice President of Operations, and ultimately as Senior Vice President of Operations leading Select Service hotels. Prior to Aimbridge, his hotel operations background included various food & beverage management positions at Grand Hyatt New York, Hyatt Regency New Orleans, and Marriott Suites Clearwater Beach. He also actively serves on the Aloft and Hyatt Select Service Brand Franchise Advisory Boards.
