October 19, 2015 – IRVINE, Calif. – Allison Lesser, who has spent more than 20 years working in the Southern California hospitality industry, has been named the director of sales and marketing at Hotel Irvine, a 536-room Orange County lifestyle hotel which recently emerged from a major reinvestment program overseen by owner/operator Irvine Company.
"With her strong track record in the hospitality industry, especially sales and marketing, Allison is an invaluable addition to Hotel Irvine's team," said Bill Tremper, Chief Marketing Officer for Irvine Company Resort Properties. "We are confident her skills and experience will be critical as we continue to concentrate on positioning Hotel Irvine as a dynamic hub for both locals and travelers: a modern, tech-savvy and community friendly spot."
With expertise in sales, revenue management, marketing, market positioning and profit enhancement, Lesser was a key part of the original marketing team for Hotel Irvine – unveiled last year as Orange County's only lifestyle hotel. Previously, she served as vice president of business development at BTS Hospitality, a hospitality consulting firm and was also a vice president of event sales for Patina Restaurant Group and vice president of sales for the Long Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau. Additionally, Lesser honed her sales and marketing savvy as the director of sales and marketing for W San Diego and the director of sales for Westin Long Beach. She began her career with Marriott Lodging as an account manager.
In her new position, she will head up all sales and marketing activities for the newly reinvented Hotel Irvine developing and overseeing group and leisure sales and marketing initiatives, including advertising, collateral, social media and public relations.
Lesser holds a Bachelor of Science degree in hotel and restaurant management from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
