December 13, 2022 – Aman is pleased to announce the appointment of Olivier Lordonnois as Managing Director of Aman New York. Olivier joins the company with over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry across both hotels and private members clubs.
Beginning his career at the illustrious Hôtel de Crillon as a trainee in 1994, Olivier has gained an in-depth understanding of hotel operations having held leadership positions at several prestigious hotels as General Manager for Hôtel Costes and Hotel de la Trémoille in Paris, as well as The Mark Hotel in New York.
In 2019, Olivier moved into the private members club space where he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Spring Place, with locations in New York and Los Angeles, and later at CORE: in a similar role. Most recently, Olivier returned to the world of luxury hotels as Chief Operating Officer of Flâneur Hospitality where he was also the Managing Director of its inaugural New York property, The Fifth Avenue Hotel.
As Managing Director of Aman New York, Olivier will oversee the running of the hotel, as well as the operation of the Aman Residences and Aman Club. Under his leadership he will ensure that Aman New York continues to go above and beyond across service and the guest experience, and, with his extensive understanding of hospitality in the city, sustains the success of the launch in what has been a milestone opening for Aman.

Olivier achieved a master’s degree in International Business, Trade and Tax Law from the Université Panthéon-Assas, France, and has completed a PDP in Hospitality Administration and Management at Cornell University in USA.
Aman New York opened in August 2022. The hotel is located in the iconic Crown Building on the corner of 57th Street and Fifth Avenue and features 83 suites and 22 private Aman Residences. Designed by Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston Architects, the urban sanctuary houses a vast 2,300 square-meter (25,000 square-feet) three-floor Aman Spa, several exquisite dining venues including Italian restaurant Arva, Japanese restaurant Nama, and a year-round Garden Terrace, as well as a subterranean Jazz Club offering world-class entertainment. Incorporating many revolutionary features, including some of the most spacious accommodation in the city, Aman New York is the first hotel for the brand to offer an Aman Club with dedicated facilities for members.
