Houston’s Historic Hotel is Now Wholly Owned and Managed by American Liberty Hospitality Group
HOUSTON – October 12, 2015 –Houston based hotel development firm, American Liberty Hospitality, recently announced that it has acquired 100 percent ownership of The Sam Houston Hotel. American Liberty Hospitality purchased the remaining interest in the hotel from stakeholders and is now the sole proprietor of the historic property as well as maintaining management of the hotel. Mathew Crosswy, Principal of Stonehill Strategic Capital of Atlanta was responsible for negotiating and arranging the capital.
The buyout comes as part of the company’s strategic business approach and confidence in Houston and the downtown market as well as faith in Hilton and the Curio Collection.

The Sam Houston Hotel is listed on the National Registry of Historic Hotels and has been an integral part of downtown Houston since opening in 1924. Since June, 2015, it has been a part of the Hilton Curio Collection, which is a collection of distinctive hotels providing guests with outstanding service and accommodations.
