This year, Autograph Collection Hotels, Marriott International’s distinctive portfolio of high personality, one-of-a-kind independent hotels, will welcome two new properties from Roomers Hotel group to its impressive global portfolio. Part of Gekko Group, Roomers Baden-Baden and Roomers Munich will be Autograph Collection’s third and fourth hotels in Germany, joining Gewandhaus Dresden and Hotel Am Steinplatz in Berlin.
“Germany is such an important market for today’s lifestyle traveller and to our growing collection,” said John Licence, brand leader for Autograph Collection Hotels in Europe. “These two hotels were selected for their bold originality, rich character and uncommon details, and afford us the opportunity to partner with Roomers – a company that shares our passion for refined design and exactly like nothing else travel experiences.”
“We are very pleased to be partnering with Autograph Collection Hotels,” said Alex Urseanu and Micky Rosen, owner of Gekko Group. “It’s a natural fit – with our presence in Germany continuing to grow, Roomers is delighted to align itself with a group known for impeccable service and skill in producing extraordinary experiences for guests.”
Roomers Baden-Baden Charging this spa town with a modern aesthetic, Roomers Baden-Baden is set to be a dazzling fusion of architecture and design and the city’s first luxury lifestyle hotel at its scheduled opening in August 2016.
With interiors by renowned Milan-based architect Piero Lissoni in collaboration with entrepreneur Bernhard Wagener, Gekko Group, the hotel will feature 130 spacious guest rooms and suites with exceptional items of furniture and quirky elements, which embody the design ethos of Autograph Collection Hotels.
Roomers Baden-Baden will feature a standalone gourmet Pan-Asian restaurant, moriki, headed up by famed Berlin Chef Duc Ngo, in a stylish and dynamic environment. The Lissoni design coupled with Chef Duc Ngo’s menus, will offer guests something delectable and different from the region’s traditional smoked meat dishes such as a mixed selection of sashimi, nigiri and maki as well as Mr. Duc’s wok specials and main dishes with a pan-Asian twist.
In addition to moriki, the lounge bar with a rooftop garden and infinity pool with open view to the Black Forrest will provide a charming environment for al fresco dining and signature cocktails. A second bar on ground floor will offer finest drinks. Both hotel bars have been devised by the awarded Roomers bar team from Frankfurt.
In keeping with the holistic nature of the town, the 500 square meter spa is located on the 4th floor overlooking Baden-Baden, and features a hammam, sauna and steam bath and an impressive menu of restorative treatments.
Roomers Baden-Baden is just a short drive from Baden Airport and close to key heritage sites such as the Kurpark and Sammlung Frieder Burda, the modern art museum.
Roomers Munich Roomers Munich will be a world away from the average city hotel at its scheduled opening in December 2016. Comprised of 281 guest rooms and suites, the hotel will maintain a boutique charm through a combination of contemporary and traditional touches whilst recalling the traditional heritage of the area.
Designed by Amsterdam-based design firm “concrete”, the lobby captivates with an elegant lounge style in dark tones contrasted by shiny brass elements that create a flamboyant and chic aesthetic that filters into the rooms and suites.
The luxury spa with five treatment rooms will set the precedent for relaxation. Here, guests will be invited to sample skincare products and holistic treatments designed to repair and restore. The spa will also benefit from an indoor pool with a huge adjoining cinema screen, special bar concept and day beds with waiter service.
The culinary concept ‘IZAKAYA Asian Kitchen & Bar’ owned by the Entourage Group will offer a contemporary Japanese dining experience sitting in perfect harmony with the sophisticated modern design including wooden elements in natural as well as dark colours. The nearby stylish bar will offer guests a variety of signature cocktails, home-made Shochu and an extensive selection of high end sake.
With a range of flexible meeting spaces, the hotel will also be well suited for business travel. In addition to being located near Theresienwiese, where the famous Oktoberfest takes place, Roomers Munich stands out with an event space of nearly 900 square meters, including eight individual conference rooms and outdoor areas accommodating up to 500 guests. All spaces will be equipped with modern and state-of-the-art audio-visual technology and complimentary high-speed wi-fi.
