CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (July 23, 2015) – The Chattanoogan hotel, a Benchmark Hotel®, has promoted Diana Wellman to the position of director of operations. Wellman has served as the director of conference services at The Chattanoogan since 2014.
Tom Cupo, Benchmark Hospitality International’s regional managing director at the property, made the announcement. “I am extremely pleased to promote Diana,” said Mr. Cupo. “Since joining The Chattanoogan, she has demonstrated strong leadership skills and a commitment to excellence; this is a well-deserved promotion.”
Ms. Wellman has more than three decades of senior hospitality experience, spanning sales, conference services and catering. Before returning to The Chattanoogan last year, she spent a decade serving as a key member of Benchmark Hospitality’s global task force team, assisting a number of Benchmark properties, including Turtle Bay Resort in Hawaii, Naples Bay Resort in Florida, Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado, The Heldrich in New Jersey and Hotel Contessa in Texas.
