The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, February 2021… BENCHMARK®, a global hospitality company, has named Robert Marusi chief commercial officer for Turtle Bay Resort, situated at the northern tip of Oahu’s legendary North Shore. The luxury resort is scheduled to reopen after a major, transformational renovation in summer 2021.
“It is such a pleasure to announce that Robert has joined the leadership team at Turtle Bay Resort,” said Ted Davis, chief marketing officer for BENCHMARK®. “He brings extensive sales leadership experience and business acumen to his new role with us, having served in director-level positions for major properties and leading luxury brands coast to coast and offshore. Robert has also successfully held corporate sales positions for Marriott International, including the Marriott Maui, so this is a return to the Hawaiian Islands for him.”
Robert Marusi previously served as director of sales and marketing for The Resort at Pelican Hill, located in Newport Beach, California, and held the same position for the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, a Fairmont-managed hotel in Hamilton, Bermuda. Earlier, Mr. Marusi held the position of global account executive for Marriott International and also served in several positions of sales leadership for Marriott. Marusi attended Syracuse University and the University of California, Santa Barbara, studying Business Administration. He has a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and rich culture of Oahu’s North Shore and is excited to be a part of it.
