(Bangkok – November 10, 2015): BEST WESTERN Hotels & Resorts has revealed plans to launch its new boutique lifestyle brand, Vīb, in Myanmar.
Scheduled to welcome its first guests in 2018, the new-build Vīb Yangon will bring a new sense of style and contemporary comfort to guests in Myanmar's largest city.
All 110 rooms will feature chic, urban design, along with a high level of connectivity. Guests will benefit from complimentary Wi-Fi, work spaces with conveniently placed universal power outlets and USB ports, and "Smart" flat-screen televisions.
The Vīb social lobby concept allows guests to relax and stay connected, with stylish seating, free Wi-Fi, ample USB and power ports for electronic devices, and LED mood lighting.
Vīb also provides guests with the convenience of mobile check-in services, "grab and go" snack station and fitness center to recharge their batteries.
"At BEST WESTERN we understand that today's independently-minded guests demand a high degree of convenience and connectivity. That's why we developed Vīb – an ultra-modern hotel concept that focuses on the needs of millennial travelers," explained Olivier Berrivin, BEST WESTERN Hotels & Resorts' Managing Director of International Operations – Asia.
"I am delighted to be able to announce the first Vīb hotel in Myanmar, located in the fast-growing city of Yangon. It is incredibly fitting that we are launching this exciting new hotel concept in one of the world's most exciting and dynamic destinations.
The decision to launch its first Vīb hotel in Myanmar reflects BEST WESTERN's long-term commitment to this rapidly-emerging country. In 2013, BEST WESTERN became one of the first global hotel companies to open in Myanmar, following the country's re-emergence onto the international stage. It has since expanded to a portfolio of three operating hotels, located in Yangon and Mandalay, with several more in the pipeline.
