Dec. 11–SAN ANTONIO — The Westin La Cantera Hill Country Resort will lose its Westin affiliation this week.
General Manager Stuart Meyerson confirmed that, effective Thursday, the Englewood, Colo.-based Destination Hotels & Resort will takeover management of the newly named La Cantera Hill Country Resort, at 16641 La Cantera Parkway. USAA Real Estate Co. will continue its ownership of the hotel, Meyerson said.
Stamford, Conn.-based Starwood Hotels & Resorts had managed the Northwest Side property since it opened in 1999.
The fourth-largest hospitality management company in the U.S., Destination currently operates more than 40 properties across the country, including the Hotel Derek in Houston.
