May 07–A new Lubbock hotel will break ground on Tuesday with plans to open next spring.
Arbor Hotel and Conference Center, a sister property of Arbor Inn and Suites, will be built at 6401 62nd St., according to a news release.
“Lubbock is a fantastic place to operate a family-owned business, and we are proud the city provides our industry an abundance of leisure, business, and university tourism. This allows us to provide Lubbock with more hotel options and employment,” operating partner Rob Meyer said in the release.
The new hotel will bring 72 jobs to the Hub City.
Arbor Hotel and Conference Center aims to launch several more local and regional partnerships by providing amenities such as 3,000 square feet of conference space, an airport shuttle, a boardroom and a restaurant, the news release said. This new hotel will be fully equipped with accommodations for all, including business travelers, leisure seekers and sports enthusiasts.
