New York, NY – January 16, 2019 – Chatham Bars Inn, Cape Cod’s premier seaside resort, today announced the promotion of Simon Rodrigues to Director of Sales & Marketing following substantial and meaningful success in 2018. In his new role, Rodrigues will oversee marketing and sales initiatives to drive revenue, market share, and sales for Chatham Bars Inn, a longstanding historic resort that fuses effortless coastal New England elegance with authentic contemporary charm.
In his previous role as Director of Sales at Chatham Bars Inn, Rodrigues lead top line revenue for the property in both transient and group sales, working closely with property leadership to strategize across all market segments. Rodrigues brought his luxury insights and expertise to elevate the resort and ensure maximum occupancy across leisure and corporate groups.

Prior to Chatham Bars Inn, Rodrigues worked with Mandarin Oriental, Boston, where he served as Director of Corporate and Entertainment Group Sales and was the 2017 recipient of the prestigious Tai Pan Sales Executive of the Year Award, reserved for the highest global sales achiever in the Americas and Europe. Over the course of his two years at the property, Rodrigues raised corporate ADR by more than seven percent, increased corporate room revenue by more than 10 percent, and doubled the number of entertainment group bookings, among other successes. He has also worked as Associate Director of Sales for The Taj Boston Hotel, Director of Sales for Crowne Plaza in Newton, and in various other sales management roles in the Boston metro area.
Simon is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. He resides in East Taunton, MA with his wife and two daughters.
