FORT WORTH, Texas – July 26, 2021 – Hotel Drover, an Autograph Collection hotel, is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Saputo to the role of general manager at the 200-room rustic-luxe hotel, which opened in March 2021.

Representing a forward-thinking approach, General Manager Chris Saputo brings close to two decades of experience to the newly opened Hotel Drover, an Autograph Collection Hotel by Marriott. His well-versed background and rich expertise includes project development, employee engagement, company culture, management of profitable operations, and innovative strategy. As the general manager of Hotel Drover, Saputo oversees all aspects of the rustic-luxe property, which opened in March 2021, complete with 200 luxurious guest rooms and spa suites, locally sourced signature eatery 97 West Kitchen & Bar, The Lobby Bar, The Backyard at Hotel Drover, The Courtyard at 97 West, two, one-of-a-kind boutiques, and more than 40,000 square feet of versatile indoor and outdoor meeting and event space.

Saputo has carved out an outstanding hospitality career, having held key leadership roles for several renowned players in the luxury hotel sphere, including Four Seasons, Las Alcobas, Carneros Resort & Spa, Ojai Valley Inn, The Resort at Pelican Hill, and more. From bellman to general manager, Saputo rose through the ranks and became a humble and trusted leader — bringing his character, enthusiasm and grit to every task and team. Most recently, Saputo served as the director of operations for Las Alcobas in St. Helena, Calif., which rebranded as Alila Napa Valley in March 2021. He managed a multi-million-dollar renovation. During this overall trying time for the industry, he worked closely with sales and marketing as well as revenue management to develop the resort’s business strategy and ensured standards and financial goals were exceeded for the celebrity chef restaurant, Acacia House.

Saputo attended Arizona State University and is a die-hard sports fan. Outside of the office, Saputo can be found golfing or enjoying quality time with his fiancée who he met when he was 10-years-old and his two dogs, Jupiter (English Mastiff) and Senna (Saint Bernard Doodle).
