Marriott International has appointed industry veteran Clark Albright to Director of Sales & Marketing of the iconic Palm Desert hotel, JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa. Clark Albright takes on an all-encompassing role at the 450-acre property, which features 884 guest rooms, including 101 suites, along with a 38,000 sq. ft spa and an abundance of event venues.
Clark Albright, an established industry leader, brings nearly 40 years of experience within the Marriott brand to his new role. Albright has proven success at both the property and above property levels, having held a variety of sales and leadership positions at brand properties including the LAX Marriott, Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, Newport Beach Marriott, Irvine Marriott, Westin LAX and JW Marriott Las Vegas. Clark is an enthusiastic collaborator who, in this new role at JW Marriott Desert Springs Spa & Resort, will oversee the sales and marketing teams for the property, providing day-to-day leadership while encouraging diverse thinking to drive organizational success.

Responsible for achieving booking goals and property revenues, he will manage reactive and proactive sales efforts to ensure sales objectives are met while cultivating corporate relationships for sales, group, and leisure business. Clark will oversee the marketing budget to enable the development of property-specific campaigns, promotions, and collateral to drive revenue and meet property objectives. Through his role, Albright will ensure guests experience the ultimate in JW Service by bringing to light Marriott’s core values and legacy of excellence.
Clark is known to be an innovative and intuitive thinker with strong data analytics skills that is able to recognize opportunities and set appropriate strategies to garner desired results. He spent over 10 years as the Market Sales Leader for Arizona and Nevada where he led the sales transformation effort, Starwood Integration, and top-line revenue generation of over $500 million for thirty-three Marriott-managed properties. Most recently, Clark served as the Director of Sales at the JW Marriott Camelback Inn where he led the team in a post-Covid recovery effort that resulted in two back-to-back record-setting years.
