Chicago, IL — April 2, 2024, Cloud5 Communications, the leading provider of IT and communications solutions and services for more than 5,000 hotels across the Americas, has today announced the appointment of hospitality technology veteran, Fred Reeder, as Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development.
Reeder has decades of experience aligning technology and services with the latest hospitality business needs – and building robust, effective sales teams to serve those needs. Most recently, he served as the principal and head of HBR Global, a management consulting firm focused on sales optimization; global sales and channel management; corporate development; and new business development across a variety of sectors. Prior to HBR Global, Reeder was a Senior Principal Client Director with the Korn Ferry North America Digital Commercial Transformation team, where he helped Fortune 500, and mid-sized clients transform their revenue generating capabilities.
Reeder’s extensive hospitality technology experience includes fifteen years associated with NTT DoCoMo / Intertouch and related companies, that began with him as VP of Global Accounts at Nomadix, moving onto Chief Commercial and Chief Operating Officer of NTT DoCoMo Intertouch (USA) and ultimately serving as President of Nomadix. Nomadix, a leading manufacturer of premier bandwidth management, public Internet access technology, and SAAS software, is a long-time supplier for Cloud5’s High Speed Internet Access (HSIA) business.
“One of the things Cloud5 prides itself on is our continued investment in hospitality – this includes hiring from within the industry to ensure that our people understand the complexities and interdependencies of the hospitality business,” said Mark Holzberg, President & CEO of Cloud5 Communications. “I’ve known and worked with Fred for some twenty years and am delighted to welcome him to the team and look forward to seeing how he’ll leverage his unique experience to help us drive our business forward.”
Reeder’s professional career also includes holding business development and leadership positions with Arrow Electronics, Computer Associates International and KPMG Consulting, among others. Currently certified in several sales methodologies, Reeder holds a degree in biomedical engineering. He also attended Harvard Business School for post graduate studies in general business administration and management.
“I am excited to be a part of the journey as Cloud5 continues to pivot its offerings – providing a broader scope of services and a more consultative strategic approach,” said Reeder. “My career has equipped me with the experience necessary to help Cloud5 build upon its success and continue to redefine its market position and I look forward to working with the team to do so.”
