Cloud5 Communications Spurs its Growth, Service Capacity and Continues to Build Out its Senior Ranks
Chicago, IL (February 23, 2017) — An expert communications professional with more than 25 years of hospitality sales experience, Steve Brown has been named an Executive Director of Business Development for Cloud5 Communications, the pioneer in cloud-based communications for hospitality. Brown is unique in having built industry relationships at the highest levels, and long-term customer partnerships, across all industry segments, including hotel brands, independents, owners, and management companies.
Prior to joining Cloud5, Brown was National Account Manager at Windstream Communications, a Fortune 500 company and provider of advanced network communications, including cloud computing and managed services, to businesses nationwide. Prior to Windstream’s acquisition of PAETEC Communications, which had acquired XETA Technologies, Brown was consistently the top producer at XETA Hospitality and continued along that path at Windstream. He has successfully navigated the transition from analog to digital with a unique ability to educate and guide his clients as they evolve along the technology lifecycle from basic systems to more advanced converged networks and IP-based communications systems.
During his career, Brown also held sales leadership roles at RCA and Mitel Business Telephone Systems.
“I’ve known Steve for many years – going back to when we worked together at XETA and Windstream. He was by far the most effective sales executive, mainly due to his consultative approach, product knowledge and devotion to his customers. His respected background in telephony and impressive performance in hospitality technology sales sends a strong message to the market about Cloud5’s direction and commitment to service,” said Mark Holzberg, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. “He is a trusted advisor to the leading hotel brands, and we are thrilled to have someone with his reputation and experience as part of our growing business development team.”
Brown’s success is grounded in his impeccable attention to his client’s needs and consistently delivering on their expectations. His core values of trust and integrity have helped him build and maintain relationships that go well beyond a specific vendor engagement or project.
“I am excited about the opportunity to join Cloud5 and to work with Mark again at this critical stage in the company’s growth,” said Brown. “The hospitality and travel markets are looking for better ways to connect staff and guests in a more seamless and cost-effective manner. Cloud5 is positioned at the center of the always-connected guest experience and I am honored to bring these innovative solutions to market during this time of disruption in our industry.”
Based in Greater Philadelphia, Brown will be responsible for cultivating new and existing customer relationships by introducing Cloud5’s comprehensive range of advanced networking and guest communications solutions to hotel operators, owners, and management companies. Brown graduated from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
