SNOQUALMIE, Wash. (October 5, 2017) — Salish Lodge & Spa, the iconic Pacific Northwest lodge, is renovating its 84 guestrooms in a $12 million project. The lodge will remain open to guests during the extensive two-part remodel, with the first stage scheduled for completion in January 2018. The renovation of all guestrooms—the largest the property has seen since 1988—is anticipated for completion in late spring 2018, enhancing the guest experience through new features and luxury amenities inspired by the lodge’s distinctive heritage.

The redesigned guestrooms will introduce a contemporary mountainside concept with an earthy yet current feel, embodying an authentic Pacific Northwest ambiance by using materials such as natural textures, warm woods and organic fabrics. New features will include gas fireplaces, and deluxe bathrooms with a soaking tub or oversized showers with dual showerheads, with suites offering both. The corridors will also receive a facelift, with new carpet and paint. Additional updates include revitalizing the award-winning spa, including an expansion to the ladies’ locker room.
The Muckleshoot Indian Tribe purchased Salish Lodge & Spa 10 years ago and looks forward to celebrating this milestone with the renovation and property enhancements, illustrating their continued commitment towards keeping Salish as a top-tier Northwest destination for dining, spa treatments and indulgent experiences.
Salish opened in 1916 as the Snoqualmie Falls Lodge, an eight-room inn that became a popular rest stop for travelers fueling up on the four-course Country Breakfast, still served in The Dining Room today. The lodge quickly transformed into a must-see destination known for its scenic views and location overlooking the falls, and was renamed Salish Lodge & Spa in 1988. Most recently, with the revival of cult classic Twin Peaks, Salish was once again in the spotlight as the “Great Northern Hotel.”
