SAN FRANCISCO (April 16, 2015) – Commune Hotels & Resorts, the international lifestyle hotel group comprising the Thompson Hotels, Joie de Vivre, and tommie brands, has announced the appointment of Todd Wynne-Parry as Executive Vice President of Global Acquisitions & Development. A development leader in the hospitality industry, Wynne-Parry brings to Commune more than 30 years of experience, having held senior leadership positions at Starwood Hotels, IHG and Marriott, among other hotel companies. As a member of the Commune executive team, Wynne-Parry will lead the charge for the company’s global growth by sourcing and securing management contracts and investment opportunities.

Todd Wynne-Parry joins the Commune Hotels & Resorts team from the Trump Hotel Collection where he was Senior Vice President of Global Hotel Development & Acquisitions, initiating the company’s expansion to Greater China and the Middle East. A dual-citizen of Australia and the United States, Wynne-Parry has lived and worked in the U.S., Asia, Australia and the United Kingdom. He was instrumental in the development efforts for IHG, Starwood and Marriott in the Asia Pacific region. He began his career as a hotel consultant in the San Diego office of Laventhol & Horwath, once the preeminent hotel, resort and tourism consulting firm. His tenure at Laventhol & Horwath, and later Horwath Asia Pacific, included leading the company’s hotel consulting practice in its Hong Kong office.
Wynne-Parry earned an MBA from Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management, and was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the U.S. Development Trust for Scotland’s University of Aberdeen, where he studied briefly as an undergraduate.
