Washington, DC (February 6, 2017) – Michael George, Chief Executive Officer of Crescent Hotels & Resorts, announced that the hotel and resort management company hired Raul Moronta as Senior Vice President of Revenue Management. Crescent, based in Fairfax, Virginia is a nationally recognized operator of premier hotels and resorts throughout the United States and Canada. Moronta will be responsible for developing revenue strategies, forecasting, budgeting, and revenue analysis for Crescent-managed properties.
“Raul’s breadth and depth of experience and expertise will help Crescent maximize our initiatives to drive revenue for our managed properties,” said George. “He has attained impressive sales and leadership successes throughout his career, and is well recognized in our industry.”
Moronta joins Crescent as the company launches a new division this year focused on growing Lifestyle and Independent hotels. Crescent’s SVP of Revenue Strategy Maricarmen Cardenas will be moving into the newly created role of SVP of Revenue Strategy of Lifestyle Hotel & Resorts dedicated to the new “Latitudes, Lifestyle by Crescent” division.

Moronta has over 15 years of revenue management experience. Prior to joining Crescent Hotels & Resorts, he served as Director of Revenue Management for Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Hersha Hospitality Management. Moronta holds a Bachelor of Arts in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra in the Dominican Republic; a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of New Haven; and a Certificate in Asset Management from Cornell University.
