WASHINGTON, D.C. – March 11, 2021 – The Ven at Embassy Row, Washington, D.C., a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts, will be opening its doors in the heart of Dupont Circle on March 12th.
In the famed Dupont Circle area known for art, international culture, cuisine and home to the world’s embassies, The Ven is reflective of the vibrant neighborhood it calls home. Offering style and international flair in a sophisticated yet comfortable environment, The Ven will implement various elements and touchpoints reflective of the Danish and Norwegian concept of hygge; design meant to encourage guests’ comfort, exploration and personal well-being.
“At the Ven, Danish for ‘friend’, weary travelers become cherished friends as soon as they enter our doors,” said Jennifer Goodman, General Manager of The Ven at Embassy Row. “We welcome guests to Embassy Row as friends to our home, with warm greetings and excitement, and with a few unique experiences planned to delight, educate or surprise them along the way.”
As guests arrive at The Ven, they will walk into an expansive lobby featuring floor-to-ceiling windows looking onto famed Massachusetts Avenue, providing the perfect sociable summit to mingle with friends and build new connections. Local Dupont Circle partner, Valley Brook Tea will provide guests with an introduction to the worldly craft of tea service, with an on-demand pour over tea instruction. When evenings call for rest and rejuvenation, guests will be invited to create a personalized scented sachet bag, creating a lasting memento of calm and contentment. All of the oils will be derived from flowers and plants native to the countries of the surrounding embassies.
The boutique property will feature 231 guestrooms and suites overlooking Embassy Row’s stately mansions. All of the rooms will feature STAYCAST that allow guests to stream over 1,000 apps from their mobile device to the TV. The hotel will also feature three flexible meeting spaces designed to accommodate bespoke and intimate gatherings of up to 25 people. The Ven will be partnering with Spin to provide convenient on-property access to an electric scooter docking station for guests to use and roam around the nation’s capital.
Beginning with initial service Friday through Sunday and expanding hours of operation later this year, the Ven Café will offer guests the convenience of quality coffee, pressed juices from Pulp & Press and breakfast essentials, followed by prepared cocktails and grab and go meals in the evening. This fall the hotel will also be unveiling Fred & Stilla, a full-service restaurant in a living room setting that will offer local and fresh programming. This summer, The Ven will be debuting its Rooftop Pool & Bar featuring weekend sunrise yoga classes in partnership with Epic Yoga.
