The 168-room hotel with open in spring 2016 with Catherine Rentschler as Director of Sales

FAIRFAX, Va., Nov. 09, 2015 — Crestline Hotels & Resorts, LLC (Crestline) announced today that Kevin Varr has been appointed General Manager for the Hyatt Place Washington DC/Georgetown/West End. Mr. Varr is joined by Catherine Rentschler, who was appointed as Director of Sales. Hyatt Place Washington DC/Georgetown/West End is scheduled to open in the spring of 2016 at 2121 M Street NW and will offer 168 guestrooms. It is being developed by Washington, DC-based Renaissance Centro, which enjoys a 30-year legacy of nationally recognized projects throughout the DC metro area.

Mr. Varr joins Crestline from Ambridge Hotels where he was General Manager for Hyatt Place DC Downtown/K Street. He brings more than 10 years of hospitality operations management experience, including in-depth involvement with new hotel openings. Ms. Rentschler joins Crestline from the Park Hyatt Washington DC, where she was Senior Sales Manager. She brings more than eight years of hospitality sales and service experience, particularly with Hyatt-branded hotels. She is a graduate of the College of Charleston, SC.
