Hospitality professionals invited to network and discuss latest trends at Cvent’s new Group Business Forum
McLean, Va., Feb. 13, 2014 – Cvent (NYSE:CVT), a leading cloud-based enterprise event management platform, today announced its first annual Group Business Forum, an exclusive event for hotel professionals and executives. The three-day event will take place in Washington, D.C., April 23-25, at the Grand Hyatt Washington. Cvent has invited leaders who represent more than 200,000 hotels and destinations that are part of the Cvent Supplier Network to attend.

The Group Business Forum will feature educational sessions led by thought leaders from some of the industry’s leading marketing firms, advertising agencies and associations focused on hospitality. The forum will also include a series of short power talks by top meeting planners, which are designed to help suppliers understand how the next generation of planners are shifting their group hotel business online. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the most cutting-edge marketing trends from a wide range of subject matter experts.
A number of other sessions will focus on best practices for targeting a new generation of buyers, techniques to help hotel sales teams respond to group leads more efficiently and strategies to increase hotel sales for group business. During the conference, Cvent will share its latest product roadmap and release features. The company will also conduct focus groups with industry leaders and customers to discuss Cvent’s future Supplier Network offerings.
As part of the forum, Cvent is offering attendees an opportunity to attend a one-day Cvent Certification Program, a specialized program designed to help hoteliers better manage and respond to incoming leads for meetings business.
