(DALLAS, TX; June 8, 2016)— Rockbridge, an investment platform focusing in real estate and operating companies, today announced details of the Adolphus Hotel’s final phase of a comprehensive renovation to reimagine the storied hotel’s vibrancy and relevance as a cultural, culinary, social, and hospitality icon. The renovation, designed to elevate the hotel’s warm and gracious atmosphere while preserving the history of the iconic property, ushers in the unique amenities and thoughtful curation that today’s contemporary guests desire.

Offering the most sweeping changes since Adolphus Busch, co-founder of Anheuser-Busch, first erected the Beaux Arts hotel in 1912, the restoration’s final phase, conceived in collaboration with Dallas design firm, SWOON, the studio, offers a host of modern sensibilities, including a transformed lobby, fresh public spaces, new restaurant concepts, and exciting retail options. The storied French Room, the only restaurant in Texas to maintain an AAA Five Diamond Award for 25 consecutive years, is slated for a complete reimagining, with an updated menu and new bar and salon that at once celebrates the space’s rich history while respectfully evolving the experience and aesthetic. In addition, this month the hotel debuts a rooftop pool and bar on the 7th floor, offering commanding views of the Dallas skyline and complete with cabanas, a fire pit, and unique food and beverage options.

”The Adolphus has been an essential part of the Dallas community for over 100 years and we are excited to reenergize the property while celebrating its history, architecture, and European roots,” said Rockbridge CEO Jim Merkel. “With this transformation, we are tapping into a rich tradition of warm and vibrant service while elevating the property to a unique and convivial destination that will continue to be an essential part of the community for the next 100 years.”

Under the direction of Rockbridge and RBHD, the hotel recently completed the refurbishment of all 407 guest rooms and suites. During this final phase, which continues until early 2017, the hotel will operate with minimal disruption to guests in a staged rollout of exciting new features and concepts.

Restaurants

In addition to the changes underway at the French Room and a fresh emphasis on sourcing from local purveyors across all on-property restaurants, other exciting food and beverage developments include the re-introduction of the lobby bar and the beloved Tea at the Adolphus, a street-side coffee shop, and a Mediterranean bistro with a compelling wine and cocktail program.

Luxury Spa & Salon

In a unique partnership with Red Flower products and spa consultants WTS, the hotel opens a new 5,000 sq. ft. luxury spa and salon this summer to include five treatment rooms as well as indoor and outdoor relaxation lounges and a large fitness facility that showcases state-of-the-art aerobic and strength training equipment.

As an extension of meeting space upgrades already completed last year, the hotel is resurrecting its legendary 19th floor ballroom that offers commanding views of the city, increasing the hotel’s overall meeting and event space to 27,000 sq. ft.

With the hotel’s commitment to local artisans and culture, The Adolphus is bringing on board unique retail offerings featuring specialty items and experiences curated from the community.
