London, February 14, 2024 – Dorchester Collection has announced the appointment of Christoph Moje as general manager of Los Angeles’ Hotel Bel-Air, effective from February 10, 2024.

With almost 30 years’ experience in luxury hotels across America, Christoph re-joined Dorchester Collection seven years ago as hotel manager for sister property, The Beverly Hills Hotel. In 2021, he made the transition across to Hotel Bel-Air as hotel manager and he will now take on the role of general manager.

Christoph’s previous roles include numerous managerial positions within hotel groups, including The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and the Langham Hospitality Group. He also spent 2009 to 2011 with Dorchester Collection as hotel manager of the New York Palace before moving to Hotel Bel-Air for its relaunch in 2011.

Christoph, who hails from Hamburg in Germany, graduated from the Bavaria Hotel Management School. Having now lived in America for nearly 30 years, he considers California to be his home.

Commenting on his new role, Christoph said, “I am delighted to be taking on the position of general manager at Hotel Bel-Air, a property that I have a deep connection with having worked on its spectacular reopening more than a decade ago. It is LA’s ultimate enclave of exclusivity and I am proud to be leading the hotel’s dedicated team into what promises to be an exciting new period for this much-loved, iconic hotel.”
