NEW ORLEANS – Feb. 7, 2017 –DoubleTree by Hilton New Orleans has announced the appointment of Kristina Bourgeois as director of sales and marketing for the 367-room property located at the base of historic New Orleans’ Canal Street in the heart of the Crescent City. No stranger to Hilton, Bourgeois assumes her new role at DoubleTree with more than 15 years of experience with the company. The hospitality veteran, who has directed the development of hospitality and sales professionals in New Orleans since 2001, comes to DoubleTree by Hilton New Orleans following her tenure at both Hilton New Orleans Riverside and Embassy Suites by Hilton New Orleans.
In her new role for the DoubleTree by Hilton New Orleans, Bourgeois will lead the execution of group sales as well as the unveiling and launch of the remodeled property and its amenities. The hotel’s $25 million refurbishing includes transformed guest rooms featuring modern décor, an outdoor pool and green initiatives, which incorporate a high efficiency energy management system.

Nestled directly across from the French Quarter, the reinvented hotel sits on the edge of the bustling Central Business District and showcases a perfect blend of adventure, tradition and contemporary design, complete with 10,000 square feet of event space. The renovation is expected to be completed in late March.
Kristina Bourgeois Bourgeois’ career accomplishments span many of the most influential hotel groups within Hilton. Her achievements include the branding and introduction of the Lofts Club Tower by Embassy Suites, which remains Embassy Suites’ only property in the U.S. to feature a concierge tower suite. Other previously held positions include, director of sales and revenue management for four years at Embassy Suites, two years of which encompassed an invasive renovation. Bourgeois studied International History and received her Bachelor of Arts from Southeastern Louisiana University. She is a member of Theta Phi Alpha Sorority and is an enthusiast for the community and causes associated with children. Apart from her busy schedule, Bourgeois likes to spend time with her family, which includes her husband, Myles, and her energetic eight-year-old son, Brady. She also enjoys running and recently completed her seventh marathon.
