NEW YORK, NY (January 14, 2019) – Renowned hotel and brand management company Dream Hotel Group today announced plans to debut the Dream Hotels brand in Valle de Guadalupe in 2021. The latest hotel signing with Baja California-based Cosmopolitan Group represents a major milestone for Dream Hotel Group as it marks the first Dream Hotel location and third hotel deal signed in Mexico within the last 12 months, further positioning the company as international hospitality innovators and leading the way for new growth in the region.
Designed by renowned Mexican architect Tatiana Bilbao and located on over 35 acres in the Baja California region of Mexico incorporating a large vineyard, the boutique hotel will feature 61 guest rooms and villas, a luxury spa and wellness concept and three highly activated dining and nightlife venues, including a private tasting room and pool bar.
With a focus on an eco-chic style, Bilbao’s design will ensure the first Dream location in Mexico blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings of mountain and vineyard which are prominent characteristics of Valle de Guadalupe.
“Cosmopolitan Group’s roots are based in Baja California and the company has intimate knowledge of the culture, as well as extensive knowledge and understanding of the market. They are innovators with a vision of creating something new, fresh and authentic to the region,” said Dream Hotel Group CEO Jay Stein. “The area is Mexico’s food and wine destination, a perfect fit for Dream Hotels and its emphasis on world class food and beverage experiences.”
In keeping with that reality, the hotel’s signature restaurant will engage a known celebrity chef to cater to its guests and the local community.
“We’re proud to bring the Dream Hotels brand to Valle de Guadalupe,” said Isaac Saul of Cosmopolitan Group. “From the moment we started working together, it’s been a synergistic partnership focused on creating an inspiring vision of what Dream Hotels can bring to the region.”
“Dream Valle de Guadalupe is an exciting collaboration between some of the best minds in the hospitality industry. The region will offer guests an opportunity to immerse themselves in the food and wine culture and natural tranquility encompassing Valle de Guadalupe,” said Ariel Sanett, Vice President of Development, Dream Hotel Group.
The serenity of the environment will form part of the ambience of the Dream Hotel in Valle de Guadalupe. The intention is to have this resource serve guests so they feel relaxed and refreshed for the duration of their stay while enjoying ease of access to places of interest nearby.
Valle de Guadalupe is located less than two hours from San Diego in Baja California, Mexico. On the Ruta del Vino wine route with convenient access to dozens of the region’s esteemed wineries, the boutique lifestyle hotel will be a destination with modern design that will blend in with the property’s natural countryside surroundings. The property will boast an inviting pool bar with a robust events and programming calendar for guests and the surrounding community. In addition, the hotel will provide private meeting spaces for intimate events and weddings, engaging an audience that is currently underserved in the market.
Underwritten by a design philosophy that is both surreal and contemporarily chic, Dream Hotels are individually curated properties that together comprise a unique narrative. With existing and future locations under the Dream and DRM Dream flags in the United States and abroad, the design and experience of each property is informed by its locale and taken to Dream status by a pool of world-renowned architects and interior designers. The result is a stay experience well-suited to the discerning traveler who seeks comfort in a truly cosmopolitan atmosphere.
With 19 hotels open today and another 20+ locations in various stages of development worldwide, Dream Hotel Group is on track to triple its existing portfolio by 2022. The signing of its iconic Dream Hotels brand in Valle de Guadalupe signals another exciting milestone in the continued growth and expansion of the company and its portfolio of lifestyle brands globally.
