Rhinebeck, N.Y. – Jan. 23, 2019 – Mirbeau Hospitality Services has tapped Ed Kellogg as general manager of the future Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck, slated to open in late summer 2019. The longtime Hudson Valley resident has been Mirbeau’s leading development partner for the 50-room Rhinebeck resort since 2005.
“We’re excited to welcome Ed to the Mirbeau team,” said Michael Dal Pos, chief executive officer of Mirbeau Hospitality Services. “With his deep connection to the Hudson Valley and his extensive experience managing complex projects, we’re confident that he’s the right leader to operate Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck as we expand the Mirbeau brand’s footprint in the Northeast.”
For more than 25 years, Kellogg has been actively involved in commercial real estate development, management and construction in the region, beginning with the Poughkeepsie Galleria in 1987. Most recently, he headed the business development and operations of two successful construction management firms in the Hudson Valley, with projects ranging from a new theater for the American Dance Institute on the site of a former lumberyard in Catskill, N.Y. to two new multifamily facilities in Poughkeepsie.
Kellogg served as a partner, project manager and general manager of Poughkeepsie Galleria from 1986 through 2007, responsible for the development, construction and management of the 1.2-million-square-foot mall. He also has an extensive background in development with the Pyramid Companies.
A Harvard graduate, Kellogg is a member and past chair of the Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation’s Board of Directors and External Marketing Council. He has served on the Health Quest Affiliate Board and is currently on the Executive Committee of the Harvard Club of the Hudson Valley.
