Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo launches a new stylish guest experience that meets luxury and nature with the debut of the Resort’s multi-million dollar property enhancement. Ideally located along the sandy shorelines of the exclusive Peninsula Papagayo, Four Seasons offers guests a new unrivaled experience at its rejuvenated enclave which captures modern beachfront elegance in paradise-chic design.
The resort refresh – spearheaded by EDG, California-based leading hospitality design firm and Dallas-based Paul Duesing Partners – took place on the heels of its 10th anniversary. It marries luxurious design with its two exclusive golden sand beaches, exotic jungle and panoramic ocean views to offer guests a sense of place upon arrival. Emblematic of that change is the water-hued seating which offers a perfect perch for relaxation overlooking a
handcrafted Tico mosaic that is prominent on the main wall. Nearby, new luxury retail boutique, Delrio, features handcrafted Costa Rican handbags as well as exclusive Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica offerings. Just a few steps away, the spa ushered in its updated salon.
“Whether in search of relaxation or adventure, Four Seasons has long been a beloved escape for travellers who appreciate the beauty, authentic culture and relaxed lifestyle that Costa Rica embodies. In staying true to pura vida style, our enrichment project was designed to elevate the guest experience and incorporate our unique sense of place even further – essentially taking paradise to the next level,” shares Pascal Forotti, General Manager of
Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica. “We are excited to welcome guests to experience our stylish new look and guest offerings.”
The crown jewel of the resorts renovation are the re-imagined restaurant and lounge concepts. The renovation included three new additions to the resorts culinary landscape: Cena Sociale (pronounced “che-na so-chi-ale”) Italian Kitchen and Wine Bar, Sol y Sombra Latin Kitchen and Seafood Grill, and Tico’s Lounge with menus conceptualized by Executive Chef Mario Alcocer.
As part of Cena Sociale’s modern Italian ambiance, the restaurant also features a stylish and extensive Wine Bar. Helmed by renowned Chef Dario Montelvere, Cena Sociale specializes in modern Italian cuisine and features the freshest local and organic ingredients. Inspired by the Mediterranean and the Amalfi Coast of Italy, the restaurant showcases an innovative tapas-style menu of homemade pastas, locally sourced produce, and the freshest seafood from Puntarenas, Costa Rica’s southern west coast on the Pacific Ocean.
Also new to the Resort is Sol y Sombra, featuring the culinary creations of Chef Pablo Brennes. Setting the stage for a perfect evening with live music nightly and extensive offerings, Sol y Sombra captures the rich and exotic flavours of South America. Set alfresco, guests enjoy ocean views from the Resort’s two beaches by day or starry-lit skies in the evening. The menu boasts an ocean-to-table component, showcasing fresh and sustainable items such as locally-caught fish, chicken cooked rotisserie style and seafood cooked in a traditional South American style.
Channeling the essence of pura vida, Tico’s is an idyllic setting to mix and mingle with family and friends in a sophisticated yet relaxed and comfortable open-air lounge setting. Whether enjoying a cocktail dining at the lounge, taking in the breathtaking views or ordering a meal to go, Tico’s offers convenient and savoury options. By day, the lounge offers an array of healthy and sustainable cuisine – from light fare including pastries, sandwiches and salads, to smoothies and an extensive coffee bar. At sunset, unwind in the comforts of plush sofas and hanging beds reminiscing about the day’s adventures or planning the next day’s itinerary and let their very own pura vida story unfold.
