Courtney Major brings more than 19 years of industry experience to the position
ALPHARETTA, Ga. – June 8, 2021 – Courtney Major has been named the new director of sales at the 160-room Embassy Suites by Hilton Alpharetta North – Halcyon, which is expected to open in December 2021. Major will lead all strategic sales and marketing endeavors while supporting the hotel’s mission to provide outstanding service to guests. Located at the intersection of McFarland Parkway and Georgia State Highway 400 (exit 12) in Northwest Alpharetta, the hotel is owned by Heritage Hospitality Group and managed by SUN Development & Management Corp.

Major, a 19-year veteran in the hotel industry, joins Embassy Suites by Hilton Alpharetta North – Halcyon after spending six years as the Director of Sales at Embassy Suites by Hilton Alpharetta – North Point. He is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and holds a B.S. in Hotel/Restaurant Management. As a Forsyth County resident, Major has volunteered for many years as a youth athletics coach with i9 Sports, the Forsyth County Parks and Recreation Department, and the City of Cumming Parks and Recreation Department. He has also been involved with Clean the World and Atlanta’s Toys for Tots program and supports several local animal welfare and rescue organizations, underscoring Hilton’s philosophy of service and corporate responsibility.
