Boca Raton, Florida, April 12, 2018 — Florida Atlantic University (FAU)’s hospitality and tourism management program has now been ranked among the Top 25 “Best Master’s in Hospitality Management” programs.
This ranking is from College Choice, a leading authority in college and university rankings and resources. The full ranking is available here.
This now puts both the undergraduate and master’s programs in hospitality and tourism among the Top in the country with the undergraduate program among the Top 30 as ranked by The Best Schools.
Peter Ricci, director, mentions that this fast movement to be among the best is a combination of an AACSB-business school model of education, a strategic location, hiring partners that observe excellence among alumni, and a faculty that consists of world class tourism business leaders. Located in Southeastern Florida, we are surrounded by high quality tourism businesses that seek true business leaders. Our curriculum is rigorous, offering both bachelor- and master-level coursework in business administration which puts students through an arduous pathway toward success. On the flip side, our alumni success speaks for itself. In comparison to other more vocational programs, the difference is “night and day”, states Ricci.
According to College Choice, the ranking is based on institutional reputation, graduation rates, selectivity, and faculty resources. The data from their ranking comes from the National Center for Education Statistics’ IPEDS database, U.S. News & World Report, Payscale, and individual college websites.
In its description of FAU, College Choice noted, “by combining training in finance, accounting, and marketing with managerial competencies and practices specific to the hospitality industry, graduates are well-prepared to succeed in any number of employment settings.”
