NEW YORK (September 21, 2017) – As part of an ambitious plan to expand its hospitality footprint in Manhattan, real-estate mogul Morris Moinian's Fortuna Realty Group (FRG) will open the 176-room Hotel Hendricks on West 38th Street in Spring 2019. Upon completion, the newly built, 25-story property will bring another luxury boutique option to Midtown Manhattan for travelers who are shying away from cookie-cutter branded hotel concepts. The news follows the successful openings of FRG’s Hotel Hayden and Hotel Henri in Chelsea earlier this year.
“Our goal, as we continue to grow our portfolio of boutique hotels in Manhattan, is to develop a distinctive product that meets travelers’ growing desire for lifestyle-driven experiences and brings something new to NYC’s evolving cultural hubs,” said Morris Moinian, principal and founder of Fortuna Realty Group. “We were able to do this in SoHo and Chelsea with the openings of Hotels Hugo, Hayden, and Henri and I’m confident Hotel Hendricks, with its industrial design, restaurant, and rooftop, will be a welcome new addition to the Midtown hotel scene.”
The hotel will also introduce new food & beverage concepts to the neighborhood with a lobby bar and restaurant, as well as the rooftop Cherry Bar. Additional concept details will be released closer to the hotel’s opening.
Located in Midtown Manhattan, on West 38th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, Hotel Hendricks is just steps from world-famous local landmarks, including the Empire State Building, Times Square, Madison Square Garden and Bryant Park. The hotel is also conveniently located near transportation hubs including Penn Station, Port Authority, and Grand Central Terminal.
