March 28, 2023, Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.A. Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas welcomes Konrad Gstrein as the Hotel’s newly appointed Regional Vice President and General Manager. Gstrein brings an impressive 27 years of hospitality experience, including a 22-year tenure at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts properties across the globe, to the Las Vegas Strip in a momentous year of transformation for the property and destination.
“Las Vegas is a very unique, trend-forward city and there is nowhere else like it,” says Gstrein. “This year we will redesign our 424 guest rooms and suites, and introduce a new restaurant concept leading into the 25th anniversary of the property. In addition, Las Vegas will host two of the world’s biggest sporting events, Formula 1 and Super Bowl LVIII. I am thrilled to be part of this incredible team as we embark on an exciting new chapter of exceptional offerings for our guests.”
Gstrein began his career in an Austrian tourism office when he came across an interview of fellow countryman Thomas Steinhauer, then the General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea. Inspired by the article, Gstrein contacted Steinhauer who offered him a position, launching what would become a lifetime adventure of hospitality around the world. Since his start on the beaches of Maui, Gstrein continued to grow his hotel operations experience with positions at Four Seasons properties in Sydney, New York, Philadelphia, the Big Island of Hawaii, Beverly Hills and Toronto. He joins the Las Vegas team from his most recent role as General Manager for Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco where he led the team through their post-pandemic reopening and the Hotel’s 20th anniversary.
Born in the Alpine town of Längenfeld, Austria, desert living is a new experience for him, husband Jason, and yellow Labrador retriever Cooper. All three love the outdoors and are looking forward to exploring new areas to run, hike and ski in Las Vegas and the surrounding national parks and nature reserves.
Situated on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip, Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas offers the best of both worlds, putting guests in the heart of the action with unrivalled access to world-class sports, premier music events, and thrilling entertainment, balanced by the restorative tranquility of this luxury retreat.
