NEW ORLEANS (July 10, 2024) – The Pontchartrain Hotel is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Iacobucci as its new General Manager. A seasoned hospitality leader, Iacobucci brings a wealth of experience working with leading brands across the United States, and has held positions throughout the front of house from Director Food & Beverage to Director of Operations.

Prior to joining The Pontchartrain Hotel, Iacobucci served as the Hotel Manager of Surety Hotel in Des Moines, Iowa, a sister property in the Aparium Hotels portfolio. Prior to his time in Des Moines, Iacobucci gained significant experience in the position of Director Food & Beverage at Morgans Hotel Group in Miami Beach, Florida; Viceroy in Snowmass, Colorado; and Virgin Hotels in Nashville, Tennessee. In his career, Iacobucci was instrumental in contributing to the creation of renowned concepts such as SkyBar Shore Club, Sunset Lounge at Mondrian, and The Florida Room at Delano, which was recognized in the top four of the Tales of the Cocktail Best High-Volume Cocktail Bars in 2011. Across all of his positions, Iacobucci has prided himself on fostering strong team connections and promoting a healthy work culture. As the newly appointed general manager at The Pontchartrain Hotel, Iacobucci will work to maintain the property’s historic feel and charm while continuing to deliver the top-notch guest service for which it is known.
